Mighty Misery
Once there was a ship known as The Mighty Misery. It was the absolute beast of the seas during that time with so many capabilities that no other ship nor anyone else stood in its path. During one of its journeys, one officer came to the captain and said that they saw some light in the distance. The captain thought it was some ship that did not know the Mighty Misery was in its way. So he asked them to send a warning saying "This is The Mighty Misery".
After a few minutes, the officer came back again and said that they received a reply that acknowledged MM's message, but the light source was still in the MM's path. The captain told them to send another one saying that the MM was moving towards the light source.
The officer came back again and said that they received another acknowledgement, but the light source had still not changed its course. This time, the captain became furious and himself went to the radio and contacted the light source.
Below is the conversation:
Captain: This is the captain of The Mighty Misery.
Reply: Acknowledged.
Captain: The MM is on course towards you.
Reply: Acknowledged.
Captain: If this persists there may be a collision.
Reply: Acknowledged.
Captain: You may not know but this is THE MIGHTY MISERY and it will be your demise if we collide.
Reply: You may not know but this THE LIGHT HOUSE and it will be YOUR demise if we collide.
Captain: Acknowledged
While this seems like a good story or even a joke, there is a lot to learn from this. The most important thing is that most of the problems that we come across in our life are like THE MIGHTY MISERY. In such situations, it is imperative that we have a LIGHT HOUSE of FAITH and HOPE built deep in our soul that can stand against the strongest and meanest of The Mighty Miseries that we will come across.
As long as our faith is unshakable we will not bow down, and so long as hope will continue to be rekindled we will not give up.

Helpful Quotes
These are a combination of real life quotes and some from fiction that I think are really thought provoking.

Will keep on editing so don't think this is done by any means.

Impossible - a FACT or an OPINION
While watching one of my favourite videos, I came across this line which said "Impossible is not a Fact! It is an Opinion." While this seems pretty straight forward and nice to read, it actually has a lot of points that need to be looked at over here.
Firstly, almost everyone agrees that Nothing is Impossible. However, what MANY people also agree is that Many things are just not possible.
If you follow me closely, the difference between being impossible and not being possible is only one thing - RESIGNATION. This applies, shockingly, to the latter phenomena rather than the former one.
The simplest example is that people agree that you can be whatever you want to be. but almsot everyone of them will give you more reasons than the number of hairs on their entire body to tell you why it is "not possible". This is because they have resigned themselves to the fact that their dreams are just that - dreams.
I have seen many people who have told me that my stories are nice, good, excellent. Very few (infact none) have told me that Yes! the point of the story is possible or at least probable. My aim, when I started this blog, was to make people believe that they control the course their life takes. However, I don't know how many readers have actually believed in that.
I will tell you about the scene that changed my thinking about FATE.
This scene is from the movie The Matrix (first part). When Neo meets Morpheus in person for the first time, Morpheus asks Neo if he believes in fate. To this, Neo says no. When asked for a reason , Neo says "I don't like the idea that I am not in control of my fate".
Now there are many people who think this is a touch too superficial. But what he says is that he is control of hisself. It applies to everyone. You cannot control how/what/why others treat you the way they do, at least not entirely. But to waht extent, it depends upon the person.
Coz, like Michael Corleone said, Accidents don't happen to people who take them personally........

Change in direction!!!!!
Hi DREAMERZ,
Until now I've been posting many stories that have inspired/motivated me to dream higher. However, I dunno how much I am reaching out to my fellow DREAMERZ out there.
Henceforth, I am gona post a title and mention a story/incident that supports the same and give my point of view regarding the same. I would also like to have your thoughts and concerns regarding the same.
P.S.: I don't want to see the word 'IMO' or see the word 'opinion' coz as my mentor once said, "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one; some have more than one."

GOD doesn't answer prayers... He answers FAITH
Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."
Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."
Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."
After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" ... and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.
At the second tree a woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down.
When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for. The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.
Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time. Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.
Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.
Remember when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your TRUST in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

Luck happens when Oppurtunity meets Preparation
During the shooting of a movie, a scene came up where the hero had to jump from the top of a building into a pool of water and beat a gang of villains. As the scene was being shot, the hero ran up to the edge of the building and suddenly stopped. Perplexed, the director paused filming and asked the hero why he stopped. The hero replied that it was nothing and asked to redo the shot.
The sequence repeated 4 more times. By now, the director understood that the hero was never gonna make the jump which was utterly crucial to the movie. He then inquired if anyone was prepared to do the jump. A lean guy from the gang of people supposed to be beaten up by the hero volunteered. He successfully made the jump and the movie was shot without any further hiccups.
The movie was a Chinese movie. The hero who hesitated to jump was the original martial arts star Bruce Lee. The guy made the jump was Jackie Chan, currently Asia's highest paid star.
